The 7th and 8th of November took place in Murcia, Spain, the 2009 edition of Blendiberia, the annual meeting of spanish Blender users. Claudio “male.ico” Andaur was there representing Licuadora Studio, invited together with our friend Pablo “VenomGFX” Vazquez, by Suresnet Comunicaciones who organized the event and Ayuntamiento de Alcantarilla, who sponsored it.

27 October 2009During the past months we Licuadores have been pretty busy and with little time to tell about our activities but here there is a short report of what we’ve been doing…
At the end of May we organized with Martín Eschoyez (Epa! Animation) and Universidad Nacional de Córdoba the first Che! Blender 2009 where we gathered all blenderheads of Argentina and even some neighbours. It was an emotion charged event where people from the extremes of the country met for the very first time. We had a great time giving presentations and workshops and learning a bit more about Blender.

In June, we’ve been present at 3D Wire: Mercado Internacional de Animación 3D y Videojuegos in Segovia, Spain. Together with the talented animator and one of the fathers of spanish 3D world Daniel Martínez Lara we gave a talk about Blender, our favourite tool 
.
In August we traveled to San Cristóbal, Venezuela to give a course on Rigging and Animation to the people of Historias Nativas, together with Pablo “venomgfx” Vazquez ( Plumíferos’ and YoFrankie’s veteran, and author of the celebrated Blender Training DVD “Venom’s Lab”) and Daniel “ZanQdo” Salazar from Costa Rica.
This project is being produced by venezolan house Macuaré Producciones, and is the first series of 3D shorts made entirely in Blender in Venezuela.

LicuadoraStudio presenta Che! Blender 2009

Desde aquella noche de viernes de cerveza en Licuadora Studio, cuando pensamos en hacer una reunión de blendereros argentinos hasta hoy pasaron unos 5 meses. En aquella mesa eramos unos 6 tipos, algunos francamente alcoholizados.
Hoy puedo anunciar alegremente que esa idea es una realidad. Con la ayuda de un gaucho de cada pago, como solemos decir, la Che! Blender 2009 se viene a todo galope.
Este 29 y 30 de Mayo, nos reuniremos blendereros de Buenos Aires, de Misiones, de Tierra del Fuego, de Neuquen, de Rio Negro, de Santa Fé, de Córdoba y vaya a saber de qué otros rincones del país para hablar de lo que más nos gusta, hablar de Blender !
El lugar que buscamos y que nos aceptó con los brazos abiertos fue la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Queríamos que fuese en Córdoba la primera, por ser el centro geográfico del país, para pelear modestamente contra el modelo de país que termina en la Gral Paz. Para acercarnos a todos.
Y con la ayuda de Martín Eschoyez y su gente, se dió. Allí estaremos, y para sorpresa de más de uno, llevaremos gauchos brasileños y gauchos costaricenses !
Así que a prepararse, dos días de pura charla, workshop, proyecciones y camaradería. Y quizás algo de Fernet con coca
